Got this mail from work:

The Interception and Monitoring Act came into effect on the 1st December 2005. The regulations governing cellular phones changed and the below-noted has to be complied with:

1. When your cell phone and/or SIM card is stolen or lost:
- Phone your Cellular Customer Services Department and block your SIM Card.
- Report the loss or theft at any Police Station and record the case number.
- You will need to have: your Identity Document, Mobile Phone Number and IMEI number of the phone. - To obtain your IMEI number, dial *#06# on your cellular phone and keep this number in a safe place.

2. When you sell your cell phone the following must be complied with:
- Obtain and retain a copy of the buyer
