felt like i had a really solid weekend..

friday - had a excellent night out at 88 in Norwood. Saw 2 really great bands: Desmond and the Tutus and Greenisforturbo.

both bands did well. greenisforturbo really impressed. although pretty rough, their “messiness” was part of the charm for me. i’d almost be nervous to hear a recorded and produced track - hopefully their rough edged quality won’t be lost.

saturday - VERY slow morning.. watched the rugby etc.

sunday - another slow morning. lunch at the loft, then through to the 27dinner.
I think this 27 dinner was the best so far. Nice to see everyone. The presentations were really worth missing carte blanche and the sunday movie for.

This dinner is an extremely beneficial networking opportunity. There’s just no substitute for meeting face to face with some of the top interactive/digital/culture minds in SA. I have no doubt that some of my chats will develop into either collaborative projects or interesting opportunities to keep an eye out for in the not-too-far future.
