The guys at Cerebra have launched an initiative with one of my favourite shoe labels Converse (incidentally, my reading glasses are also Covnerse).
I think that the idea around pulling the fans together is great. It’s a niche community that could fill a nice gap.
What I find interesting is that there’s not one picture of, or […]

@New Media Marketing Conference (#newmedia08)
March 27th, 2008 ·
The lovely Simone Puterman from BizCommunity couldn’t make it today so I managed to get the call up and be the “honourary-substitute-guest-blogger”.
I’ve been supplied with a wifi access voucher, and will be putting down my thoughts on the biz-community blog.
I’ve never really live-blogged anything. I twittered a few events at last week’s Interactive marketing summit […]

The Robertson Spices ads
March 2nd, 2008 ·
Just caught this advert on tv this evening:
I have a feeling “gooi it bokkie!” (it doesn’t translate directly too well but i suppose it’s pretty much the same as “shake it like a polaroid picture”) is going to experience similar popularity to Klipdrift’s “Eish“.
excuse me while i go and “gooi it”..
BMW SA “Kinetic Sculptures” ad makes TED blog
February 9th, 2008 ·
The TED blog posted our advert this past week. I’m hoping that this will tip it over the 1 million views mark.
I believe that this advert and it’s move to youtube played a huge role in the amount of publicity for Theo Jansen, who was one of the stars at TED 2007.
The image below tracks […]

Deezer = Web 2 point whatever compliant..
With Pandora shutting out non-US users, and CBS’s acquisition of my favourite favourite last.fm (on May 30th) the personalised-music-on-demand landscape is probably ready for something like this.
Who knows what the future holds […]

good weekend
May 28th, 2007 ·
felt like i had a really solid weekend..
friday - had a excellent night out at 88 in Norwood. Saw 2 really great bands: Desmond and the Tutus and Greenisforturbo.
both bands did well. greenisforturbo really impressed. although pretty rough, their “messiness” was part of the charm for me. i’d almost be nervous to hear a recorded […]

Google, YouTube, and a billion bucks..
March 26th, 2007 ·
If the big guns at Google haven’t exited post purchase evaluation drive and into cognitive dissonance street, the turn-off may just be up ahead.
From Cricinfo.com: ICC targets YouTube World Cup clips:
The ICC has ordered YouTube, the online video-sharing website, to remove World Cup clips claiming copyright infringement. The ICC and the rights holder to the […]
