My scattered friday afternoon thought goes like this:
One of the main responsibilities of an agency is to share ideas. Most agency websites are fairly flat affairs that either:
a - show off their trophy list,
b - show off their client list (no matter how small the piece of work was that they did for [...]

Agencies should share more. Because sharing is caring.

Cricket data and commentator idols: quick thoughts.
November 18th, 2007 · Comments
I’m watching the cricket thinking about commentators and their access to information.
I thought it would be a great tool for them (and therefore the viewers/listeners) if there was some kind of voice recognition system that “listened” to them talking and picked out words as they say them. These words are then searched for on a [...]

Greasemonkey. The only way to Facebook.
October 29th, 2007 · Comments
If you use Firefox, and don’t have the monkey’s face staring at you from the status bar, you probably won’t know too much about Greasemonkey.
From wikipedia:
Mozilla Firefox extension that allows users to install scripts that make on-the-fly changes to most HTML-based web pages.

And my reasons are:
1 - Abbreviated feeds.
I have never understood the [...]

Personal branding - how not to do it..

I’ve always thought that those who put their faces out there on the Internet asking for a date had serious kahunas. But this guy takes the cake:
Tough guy look, and he’s happy with anything between 18 and 100. I’d imagine the scale works something like:
18< fun - money >100
Frankly, I hope you think more [...]

According to James Brown’s will he recorded this in the late 70’s and wanted it put on the internet after his death.

A tip for using facebook for business..

1. I get quite a few of requests for meetings to look at products that may be of interest to me.
2. Reports say that about 50% of companies / employees have banned / no access to Facebook, this includes my place of work.
Therefore, trying to get hold of me via Facebook is not the best [...]
