Things you can do while standing in a queue at the traffic department:

1. Think about how slow this queue is
2. Curse eNaTIS!
3. Blog about the 1 Series campaign that’s just gone live.

I’ll take option 3 please..

With the Primi Piatti / free WiFi promo in full swing, we went live with a competition that uses zoopy as the platform and consumer generated media (cgm) as the medium.

Setting a brief to those who want to take part, we’re hoping to reveal the creative genius inside all of us.

Consumer generated media, the much hyped approach for marketing to the modern consumer. I’m certainly a believer, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty (read: practicing what you preach), you start poking holes into the theories, and doubts start to creep in. We’ve taken a serious leap of faith into an unknown quantity. The nerves are all there - Will it be the beginning of a revolution - social media redefining the way we sell/market cars? On the other hand, the risks are all there too - are we asking too much from the consumer? Is there enough to answer the “what’s in it for me?” question?

I guess only time will tell!

Eish! Very exciting times!!

PS: Special thanks to Paul Jacobson from
chilibean (and a bunch of other initiatives) for assisting with the development of the Creative Commons section of the terms and conditions. And of course Heather Ford for making things happen on the CC side.
